Ultra-thin surface modification system

A surface modifying laminate structure (18) containing a thin indicia containing layer (22) disposed on a carrier film (20). The carrier film serves to facilitate the removal of the laminate from a surface by peeling the laminate away without the need for any stripping agents of other chemicals. A system and method for modifying the appearance of a surface using a laminate is also provided.
