PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document browsing device and a program which can cause another device to output a document and a postscript while preserving a relationship between the postscript and a layout which has been used in display of the document when the postscript has been added.SOLUTION: Postscript information indicating the content of a postscript added to a document is memorized in association with a layout which is used in display of the document when the postscript is added, and with a portion of the document which is displayed in the layout on a display unit when the postscript is added. A synthesized image in which the portion of the document associated with the postscript information is arranged in the layout associated with the postscript information and the content of the postscript indicated by the postscript information is synthesized with the arranged portion of the document is produced and outputted to an external device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
