PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide therapeutic agents for immune function disorders comprising isolated and expanded multipotent cells, neither embryonic nor germ cells.SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent comprises an effective amount of a cell, where the cell is of a normal karyotype, is expressing a telomerase, has undergone at least 10-40 cell doublings in culture, is allogeneic or xenogeneic to the subject, and does not elicit harmful immune response in the subject, and the agent is administered adjunctively to one or more of other therapies, for example, the cell is adjunctively used in transplant therapy for immunosuppression.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
