<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating compressor provided with a lip ring capable of ensuring sealability even in significant power/high pressure specification. <P>SOLUTION: This reciprocating compressor includes: a cylinder; a piston reciprocating while swinging in the cylinder and defining a compression chamber in the cylinder; and the annular lip ring 30 provided in the piston and sealing a portion between the piston and the cylinder.
