The present invention relates to a function case which can extend a function of a mobile phone, and a function extension method of a mobile terminal using the same. The mobile terminal comprises: a front case of a main body; the function case having at least one function, and attached to or detached from the main body instead of a rear case; and a control unit for performing a control operation related to a function provided in the function case when the function case is mounted on a rear surface of the main body.
