PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for bonding primary coated optical fibers (hereinafter referred to simply as resin composition) which makes it easy to make sure of the position of the primary coated optical fibers, and to provide an optical fiber array fabricated using this resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition is composed of a resin that mainly makes the basic skeleton, a hardener, a filler, a pigment, and if necessary a dilutant. In the resin composition the filler is mixed so as to be 50-90 wt% of the resin cured product obtained after the resin composition has hardened and the pigment is added so as for the light transmittance of the resin cured product to be 60-95%.
