A non-linear dispersive transmission line assembly

The structure has a transmission line (6) with inductors (8) connected in rows, where the inductors have a saturated magnetic material to produce non-linearity. A group of coupling capacitors (12, 15) directly connects outermost ends adjacent to the inductors. A magnetic field applying device applies a magnetic field in the transmission line in a direction perpendicular to a direction of another magnetic field. The magnetic field is produced in the transmission line by using a high voltage input pulse to produce a shock wave front in a feed edge of the input pulse.
