PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of processing exhaust gas from radioactive waste melting furnaces without clogging a ceramic filter to be used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: Water is sprayed from a spraying device 4 to high temperature melting exhaust gas exhausted from a radioactive waste melting furnace 1 which processes radioactive waste containing zinc in a smoke passage 2 under non oxygen or a low oxygen condition. The melting exhaust gas is cooled to 550-420°C and zinc in the melting exhaust gas is condensed on the surface of sprayed water to enhance in particle diameter. Furthermore, air is supplied from an air supply tube 5 to cool the melting exhaust gas under 250°C. While zinc is changed to zinc oxide, the gas is induced to a ceramic filter 3.
