PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for texture analysis of a coated surface using multi-dimensional geometric shapes.SOLUTION: A computer implemented method is provided. The method includes a step of generating, by using a processor, a multi-dimensional object from a plurality of pieces of data obtained from spectrophotometric measurement of target coating. The method also includes a step of calculating, by using the processor, at least one geometric property of the multi-dimensional object. The method further includes a step of correlating, by using the processor, at least one value with a plurality of known values to identify at least one pigment effect in the target coating, and a step of outputting, by using the processor, the at least one pigment effect.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
