Provided is an object information management system capable of controlling transmission and reception of object information in an object information providing device in an object information management device, and capable of performing efficient transmission and reception of object information without putting a load on a communication relay device. A communication relay device 130 acquires, from a trap activation state management device 120, activation state transmission request information; transmits broadcast activation state transmission request information to all trap activation state providing devices 110 that can directly communicate with the communication relay device; provides the next activation state transmission request time to all the trap activation state providing devices 110 that can directly communicate with the communication relay device; and places itself in a sleep state in accordance with the activation state transmission request time. The trap activation state providing devices 110 acquire an activation state of a steam trap T, and, upon acquisition of the broadcast activation state transmission request information from the communication relay device 130, transmit the activation state to the communication relay device 130 as activation state information, and place themselves in a sleep state in accordance with the activation state transmission request time. |
