TRANSMISSION DELAY MEASUREMENT METHOD AND DEVICE IN PACKET COMMUNICATION NETWORK, AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring a transmission delay between nodes which are not under the management of a packet communication network, such as the Internet, and to provide a program recording medium used for them. SOLUTION: Between one node and two nodes or more not adjacent to the one node in nodes of the packet communication network, transmission delay is measured for a prescribed time by using a measurement object block transmission channel in common. When the difference of time fluctuation among measured values is small, the transmission delay through the measurement object block transmission channel is obtained as a sum of the average value of time fluctuation components of the transmission delay between the one node and the two or more nodes and the minimum value of other components than the time fluctuation component of the transmission delay between the one node and the two or more nodes.
