PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera which secures the completeness of monitoring video recording while maintaining high utilization efficiency of record capacity.SOLUTION: A monitoring camera 5 capable of transmitting monitoring video data having been captured to a monitoring recorder 7 via a network includes: a controller 307 determining whether the monitoring recorder 7 cannot record the monitoring video data; a control signal transmitter-receiver 304 searching for recordable and distributable equipment that can record the monitoring video data on the network, if the controller 307 determines that the monitoring recorder 7 cannot record the monitoring video data; and a video transmitter 303 transmitting the monitoring video data to the recordable and distributable equipment as a record distribution destination, if the control signal transmitter-receiver 304 detects the recordable and distributable equipment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
