PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device which can efficiently carry out maintenance of a liquid jet part having a nozzle which can jet a liquid.SOLUTION: A liquid jet device includes: a liquid jet part 1 having a nozzle 21 which can jet a first liquid to a medium; and a fluid jet device 775D having a jetting port 778j which can jet a fluid including a second liquid to the liquid jet part 1. The fluid jet device 775D carries out first fluid jet of jetting the fluid including small liquid droplets DS of the second liquid which is smaller than an opening of the nozzle 21 to an opening region where the nozzle 21 of the liquid jet part 1 opens, and second fluid jet of jetting the fluid containing liquid droplets DL of the second liquid of which a minimum liquid droplet is larger than the small liquid droplet DS to the liquid jet part 1 as maintenance operation for carrying out maintenance of the liquid jet part 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16 |
