PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit inspection device for a rubber molded body and a slit inspection method therefor capable of accurately inspecting the form of a slit. SOLUTION: This slit inspection device 3 for the rubber molded body 10 includes a first urging part 34 which urges and extends the slit 17 formed in a slit forming part 13 of the rubber molded body 10, a first urging part drive mechanism 38 which moves the first urging part 34 backward for the slit 17, a pickup mechanism 30 which picks up the slit 17 urged and expanded by the first urging part 34, and a determination mechanism 60 which determines the quality of the slit 17 from image data of the slit 17 picked up by the pickup mechanism 30.
