Automatic train safety signalling system - has circuit for providing flashing optical signals in relation to train speed

The automatic safety signalling system provides optical warning signals at the railway level crossings before the barriers are closed. The switching system for optical signals accommodates different train speeds and it incorporates a timing device. The circuit for providing warning signals in good time before the barriers close has switches with delay elements which have pressure contacts. The tran enters the switching range and the optical warning signal is switched off only on actuation of the disconnecting switch. After the train leaves the switching range then the switches are restored into their initial state for the next switching process. The optical warning signals are given by the lamps which are connected to an alternative action solenoid which causes the lights to flash periodically.
