PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic porous body with a three-dimensional network structure in which a contact area with a heat medium is high, having high boiling cooling efficiency, reduced weight and high thermal conductivity.SOLUTION: Provided is a metallic porous body having a skeleton connected into a three-dimentional shape, and in which pores connected into a three-dimensional shape by the skeleton are formed, where the surface of the skeleton is provided with ruggedness of 0.1-3 μm. The ruggedness can be formed, e.g., using a metallic porous stock having the skeleton connected into the three-dimensional shape and formed with the pores connected into the three-dimensional shape by the skeleton, by treating the surface of the metallic porous body with an alkali aqueous solution and further treating the same by ultrasonic vibration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
