PURPOSE:To provide an insecticide composition exhibiting high controlling effect to various vermin such as armyworm, leaf folder, etc. which is difficult to control by conventional insecticide, by the synergistic effect of acephate and pyridafenthion. CONSTITUTION:An insecticide composition containing (A) 1pt.wt. of O,S-dimethyl-N-acetyl phosphoroamidothioate (acephate) and (B) 1/4-4pts.wt. of O,O- diethyl-O-(3-oxo-2-phenyl-2H-pyridazin-6-yl)-phosphorothioate (pyridafenthion) as active components. The composition is effective not only to vegetable vermin but also to soil vermin and hygienic vermin, and exhibits its efects by its high toxicity such as contact toxicity, feed toxicity, nervous toxicity, fumigation toxicity, etc. Since the combined use of the above components enables the lowering of the practical concentration of each component, it can be used safely and economically without causing phytotoxicity to the useful plant.
