PURPOSE:To prevent the attachment of a substance precipitating in a level measuring tube by providing the level measuring tube with an overheat protecting guide tube in order to prevent the precipitation of a process fluid. CONSTITUTION:Heated air is discharged from a bypass hole through the overheat protecting guide tube 6 enveloping the level measuring tube 4. Since the discharging direction is set at a position facing the discharge hole of the level measuring tube 4, no problem develops in measurement. Accordingly the heated air flowing in the overheat protecting guide tube 6 can prevent the substance precipitating in the level measuring tube 4 from attaching. Moreover, as a level measuring instrument piping 3 and a heating piping 11 are constituted in a different line, the attachment of the precipitating substance can be prevented even when air cannot be fed to the instrument piping 3 due to calibrating the gage.
