PURPOSE:To realize an apparatus for producing shapes which can easily expand a web width by providing shape width expanding units provided with cantilever rolls respectively pressed to the web and inside surfaces of flanges of shapes successively to a frame which can be set as desired in right and left spacings along the direction where the shapes pass. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus for producing shapes is successively provided with the plural shape width expanding units U to the frame 6, which can be set in the right and left spacing narrow on the inlet side of the shapes 7 and wide on the outlet side thereof, along the direction where the shapes 7 pass. The respective units U pivotally support the horizontal cantilever rolls 4 pressed to the web of the shapes 7 to horizontal roll supporting parts of rolls chocks 1 and pivotally support vertical rolls 5 pressed to the inside surfaces of the flanges of the shapes 7 to vertical roll supporting parts. The web 8 of the shapes 7 is pressurized by the four rolls 4 of the respective units U and the four rolls 5 are pressed to the inside surfaces of the flanges to expand the inside width l1 of the web 8 to l2. The inside width of the web of the flanged shapes is thereby easily expanded and the shapes having high accuracy are produced.
