The chuck sleeve (2) mounted in a rotatable and axially fixed manner on the chuck body (1) forms a tool holder (3) with a peripheral surface (3'), running parallel to the chuck axis (4), and guide slots for chuck jaws (6) which project into the tool holder (3) and are supported axially against a driver piece (7) which can be rotated with a chuck pin (8) having an external thread (9) in a female thread (10) of the chuck body (1). The driver piece (7) bears with its outer periphery against the peripheral surface (3') of the tool holder (3) and the chuck pin (8) bears with a thread-free cylindrical pin part (11) against the chuck thread (10), in each case with a snug fit, which results in additional, axially precise guides for the driver piece (7) and the chuck pin (8). <IMAGE>
