<p>PURPOSE: To provide an upright piano capable of inconspicuously concealing and housing objects, such as music. CONSTITUTION: A shelf 14 for housing the housing objects S, such as music, is hung on the rear surface of a roof plate 12 of the upright piano. This roof plate 12 is mounted at a girder beam 18 via a hinge 16 at its rear end and is made openable by lifting the front end upward as shown by an alternate long and two short dashes line. This shelf 14 is installed to a position near the right of the roof plate 12 and is sufficiently parted from low-tone strings. Felt 20 for vibration-proofing is stuck on the inside surface of the shelf 14.</p> |
