PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue a recording operation by continuously supplying power to only necessary parts of the device for recording in response to the off-power state of the device during the recording operation and stopping this continuous power supply in response to the completion of recording. SOLUTION: When a sound data recorded on a CD 2 is recorded oh an MD 1, a TOC data in the CD 2 is read in to set a total recording time for data to be recorded on the MD 1, and then recording is started up. When the recording is normally completed, and if a system should be stopped, a power source is turned off, and if other processing such as reproducing should be performed, this processing is continued as it is without breaking the power source. When a power source button of the device is turned off, whether the present processing is recording processing or not is confirmed, and if so, a remaining recording time is calculated, and then whether battery voltage at a BATT input line 22 of a power source part 21 is not less tan a prescribed value or not is checked. If the battery voltage is high enough and it is no problem to continue this recording, the power supply to only the necessary parts is continued to be carried out.
|
