PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To superimpose optional superimposing data onto an external video image with optional setting. SOLUTION: In the case that a superimpose function is set and optional superimpose data are preset to a display dynamic RAM 28 by a software program. A superimpose data latch section 32 tentatively stores superimpose data stored in the display dynamic RAM 28 based on a timing signal generated from a memory timing generating section 31. The superimpose data are outputted to a data comparison changeover circuit 33 synchronously with a timing of tuner video data. An output of the data comparison changeover circuit 33 gives data superimposing the superimpose ata onto tuner video data to a TFT liquid crystal display panel 35 based on a timing signal generated from a display timing generating section 30. Thus, the optional superimpose data are superimposed on an external video image. |
