PURPOSE: A selective call method according to a mutual voice response of an Internet phone system is provided to reduce a call traffic compared to the case that one office line is allocated per group and increase an efficiency of work by calling each Internet phone, not a group call, and answering only a phone which is for a specific person. CONSTITUTION: When there is a phone call from outside, a call server receives the call through a gateway and outputs an announcement requesting an extension of a person to whom a user want to speak. When the user depresses the extension, the call server receives a DTMF signal and checks whether the extension is effective and mapped with an actual IP address. If the extension has not been registered, the call server informs that the extension is wrong and outputs an announcement requesting an accurate extension. When the accurate extension is inputted, the call server forwards the call to an Internet phone of a corresponding IP address mapped to the extension so that the user can speak to a receiver.
