<p>The space-retaining frame is for use in an insulated window which is double or multi-glazed. It comprises shaped-section bars, and corner angle pieces, with one or more ventilating holes; the panes are kept at an interval apart. Here at least one ventilating hole (7, 8) for air outlet, is set in one of the other corner angle pieces (4), being in the form of a pouch-type hole (7) with a base (8) which can be broken open. This hole may run diagonally to the shanks of the corner piece concerned, with the breakable base in the area of the outside corner. The hole does not need to be temporarily sealed to prevent penetration of adhesive or escape of drying media.</p> |
