PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the pressure and quantity of a resin with which a cavity is packed in manufacturing a molded cylindrical body having a tapered part. SOLUTION: A fixed mold has a moving body 46 movable with respect to a base metal 38. Molds are clamped with a weak clamping force, and a cavity 34 is packed with a resin. When the resin is continuously fed from a molding machine, the base metal 38, the moving body 46 and a movable mold 33 are slightly opened by the pressure of the resin. Thereby, irregularity in a quantity of the resin from the molding machine is absorbed, and the pressure of the resin in the cavity 34 is made constant. Then, the molds are clamped with a strong clamping force to close the base metal 38 and the moving body 46. According to this operation, the resin in the cavity 34 is returned to the molding machine side. A protruding part 58 of the base metal 38 is fitted into a recessed part 81 of the movable mold 33, and at a point of time when a gate 87 is closed, a fixed quantity of the resin remains in the cavity 34. Thereafter, the resin remaining in the cavity 34 is compressed. Accordingly, a thin-wall tapered part can be reliably formed without any defects by compression after the packing. |
