1464197 Multiple storage battery VARTA BATTERIE AG 28 Aug 1975 [28 Aug 1974] 35549/75 Heading H1B In a multiple storage battery, the terminals 4 of the individual batteries are non-detachably connected to the mid-parts of respective tubes 1 having good electrical conductivity, and the free ends of the tubes receive the free ends of flexible conducting cables 7, 8, 9, whereby the individual batteries are connected together. A cylindrical tube, e.g. of Cu, which may be Pb- or Sn-coated is squeezed together in the middle and bent so that its ends are at an obtuse angle, and is soldered or welded to a terminal 4; a flexible multi strand conductor, whose strands are Cu, optionally coated with Sn, is fed into tube 1 and the tube squashed around the conductor. The terminals and conductors may then all be coated with insulating resin; the multiple battery may be mounted on a vehicle. |
