PURPOSE:To make longer the life of a motor, by performing the read-in with a rotating mirror quickly and smoothly when the commodity information is continuously read in, and stopping the motor when it is not made. CONSTITUTION:The light from the laser generator 1 is fed to the rotating mirror 3 via the reflection plate 2, and the mirror 3 is turned with a motor 4 by taking the shaft as a center. Further, on the scanning window 6, the commodity circuit 10 which detects whether or not the goods 7 is located, is provided. In response to the input of the goods detection signal from the circuit 10, the motor 4 of the mirror 3 is driven and the motor for the mirror 3 is driven in response to the input of the goods detection signal from the circuit 10. Further, if the goods detection signal from the circuit 10 is not input for a given time, the motor 4 is controlled for stop with a monostable multivibrator 11. Thus, when the goods information is continuously read in, the read-in is made quick and smooth with the mirror 3, and if not, the motor 4 is stopped to make longer the life of the motor 4. |
