<p>The feed intermittently deposits powder on a travelling supporting surface, and incorporates a supply hopper (5), from whose outlet a vibratory chute (6) delivers the powder to the deposition zone on the surface (1) and meters the quantity of powder deposited. A retracting shutter (10) cuts off the outlet from the vibratory chute, and is opened partly and completely by a cyclically-functioning control cam. The shutter can be formed by a plate movable to and fro between the open and shut positions in the plane of the chute outlet.</p> |
