A method of producing a closure membrane and a closure membrane produced by said method for containers, tubes, bottles and the like receiving liquids, viscous to extremely viscous media or compounds, wherein passage openings occur in the closure membrane when the medium itself, which is enclosed in the container, exerts a pressure on a central pressure area of the closure membrane due to an external pressure effect. During production by injection moulding, passage slits are made in the pressure area or in the peripheral transition region between said pressure area and an outer annular structure by the use of cores which close by themselves after cooling due to the shrinkability and can be opened only temporarily by displacement of the pressure area when pressure is exerted.
