A device for sealing packaging made from tubular material that comprises different m.pt. plastics, directs ultrasound against the tube where it has been compressed into a strand (3). V-shaped work tool pieces (4-7) used to form the strand are provided on either side of the tube and can be moved in pairs relative to each other in a direction at right angles to the tube. The pairs of work tool pieces extend for 15-25 mm in the length direction of the tube. Two support surfaces for opposite sides of the strand and two pads (10, 11) that can be moved apart are mounted between the pairs of work tool pieces, in order to carry out ultrasonic welding. |
