PURPOSE:To send a normal page without fail among pages of stored picture information by sending pages not sent earlier and pages causing erroneous transmission later when there are pages not sent yet and pages causing erroneous transmission in the preceding sending in case of retransmission. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile store and forward exchange 1 receives picture information sent from facsimile equipments 31-3n, stores it once and sends it to the facsimile equipments 31-3n. A central processing unit 13 has a function as a classification means, which classifies pages with the addition of code (00) to pages not sent yet, (01) to normal pages after the sending and (02) to pages causing erroneous transmission. In case of the retransmission, a management data is searched to discriminate whether or not there is a page whose management data is (00) thereby sending all the pages not sent yet. When the pages not sent yet are finished, whether or not the presence of pages whose management data is (02) is discriminated, and if in existence, the page is sent, and whether or not the page is sent normally is discriminated, and when sent normally, the management data of the page is set to (01).
