The evaporator has coated plates (1) which in pairs bound hollow spaces (2) of selected height through which coolant can flow and which have middle parts that an air stream can flow through. They have projections directed to the inside to whose boundary they each contribute. The projections of each middle part have an upper part which, in relation to the regions without projections of the above-mentioned middle part, is increased in height by about a height equal to the height of the hollow space which contains it. The relevant shape and mounting site of the projections of one plate of a pair are chosen so that its upper parts come into contact with regions without projections of the other plate of the pair. |
