PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning projection display device which obtains a satisfactory images free, from bend of scanning lines at the time of two- dimensionally scanning a light beam to project an image. SOLUTION: The scanning projection display device is constituted of a light source 1, a light beam shape conversion optical system 2, a main scanning mirror 3, a sub-scanning mirror 4, and a projection optical system 5. An illumination light beam, emitted from the light source 1, is scanned via the light beam shape conversion system 2 by the main scanning mirror 3 and the sub-scanning mirror 4. The scanned light beam reaches a screen by the projection optical system 5 to display an image. The amplitude of a driving control signal waveform of the sub-scanning mirror is changed by intervals 1/T (sec).
