A waste compaction system for a vehicle comprises a movable trolley (2) for collecting waste products and a docking station that is integratable into a cabin monument of the vehicle cabin. The trolley (2) comprises a housing with two or more chambers (22, 24) for accommodating waste products, at least one opening for introducing waste products, at least one vacuum compaction mechanism that is assigned to a chamber and at least one first suction port (36) that is accessible from outside the housing and is couplable to the at least one vacuum compaction mechanism. The vacuum compaction mechanism comprises a compaction sheath (12, 14), which extends from a bottom (4) of the housing to a frame (10) arranged opposite of the bottom (4) and is fillable through the at least one opening, and a rigid plate (16, 18, 20) is arranged on or in at least one lateral surface of the compaction sheath (12, 14) and moves together with the compaction sheath (12, 14) during the evacuation thereof. The docking station and the trolley (2) are designed for mating the trolley (2) with the docking station. The docking station comprises a second suction port that is couplable to a suction line in the vehicle and the first suction port. |
