METHOD FOR PRODUCING STRAIGHT ASPHALT FOR PAVEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing asphalt having 30-100 (1/10 mm) penetration at 25°C and high viscosity in which viscosity at 60°C is a fixed value or more in the range of the penetration by a simple operation without requiring a complicated blowing operation. SOLUTION: The asphalt is obtained by mixing (1) crude oil to provide straight asphalt having properties of <600°C cut temperature of reduced-pressure distillation,≤100 (1/10 mm) penetration at 25°C and 40-100 (1/10 mm) penetration at 25°C and≥-0.5 PVN (penetration viscosity number) with (2) crude oil to provide vacuum residual oil having properties of≥600°C cut temperature of reduced-pressure distillation and≥100 (1/10 mm) penetration at 25°C and distilling the mixture under normal pressure and under reduced pressure.
