PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve current carrying performance of a switching contact of a circuit breaker. SOLUTION: A shaft hole 13 of a movable contact 12 is formed into an oblong hole shape, so a movable contact shaft 6 is provided with freedom, and by providing a support member 14 to oscillate the movable contact 12 even when a movable contact 3 unevenly gets in contact with a fixed contact 2 instantaneously, the movable contact 3 gets in contact with the fixed contact 2 in parallel after completion of on-operation.
