PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for an electron generator with enhanced safety, by which an object to be treated is efficiently converted to negative ions or activated without need to insulate treatment objects, vessels, etc. SOLUTION: In the electrode 8 for an electron generator, an insulator-coated conductor 3 is inserted into a stainless steel pipe 1, the gap between the pipe 1 and conductor 3 is packed with granular tourmaline 2, the pipe 1 is sheathed with a PE pipe 4, and the openings of the stainless steel pipe 1 and PE pipe 4 are closed with silicon resin 5.
