PURPOSE: To provide a display device capable of detecting a defect in which the potential of the output line of a first or a second scanning driver is fixed and capable of restoring the defect. CONSTITUTION: This display device has a display part 2 having a plurality of scanning lines and first and second scanning drivers 4a, 4b having output lines for supplying scanning signals to both ends of the scanning lines of the display part 2. When the potential of one or more output lines of the first or the second scanning driver are fixed or opened due to the abnormality of the first or the second scanning driver, the connection between the output line whose potential is fixed or opened and the scanning lines of the display part is cut off.
