PURPOSE:To improve package diagnosis or soft bug efficiency by using the registers, a bus interface part, a video signal generating part for display on a CRT, and a command accepting serial interface. CONSTITUTION:The main body of a large scale integrated circuit 3 contains registers 11-13 which stores the break points and the break conditions of the program of a CPU 2, a bus interface part 18, a video signal generating part 16 which produces video signal to be displayed on a CRT, and a command accepting serial interface 8. A debugger 5 gives the write/read indication for a RAM part of a package 1 by a signal S5 and enters a command analysis part 9 via a serial interface 8 to give an indication to a control part 10 to set addresses to those registers and a comparator 12 as well as data to registers and a comparator 13 respectively. Then the registers and the comparator 13 inform the coincidence or discordance with the data written previously to the part 10 based on the read result. Then the result of said coincidence or dissidence is displayed on a CRT 6. Thus, the debug package test is facilitated.
