For a dynamic third party charging applying to a service associated with a communication established by a communication device (CD) of a user, the service being suspended due to insufficient balance in the account of the user, a network element capable of generating charging events:
retrieves an URL hosted by an application server, and sending the URL to the communication device that displays a web page corresponding to the URL and inviting user to select a call number, an amount of units, and a type of units,
sends a request (ReqUI) to the application server (AS), the request containing the selected call number, the selected amount of units, and the selected type of units in order to rent said amount of units from an account associated with said call number,
receives a response (ResUI) from the application server (AS), if the rent is granted, the response containing the selected call number, the selected amount of units, the selected type of units, and an acknowledgment to proceed with the rent,
requesting a server for the debit of the account associated with said selected call number by the selected amount of units, and for the credit of the account of the user by the selected amount of units. When balance in the account of the user is filled, said selected amount of units is deducted from the account of the user to credit back the account associated with said selected call number. |
