A method and an intelligent terminal for performing mouse input on a display apparatus. The display apparatus is connected to the intelligent terminal in a wireless manner. The method comprises: detecting state change information when an intelligent terminal changes from a first state into a second state (101); separately comparing the state change information with multiple preset movement states, and when it is determined that the state change information conforms to one of the preset movement states, determining an output control instruction corresponding to the preset movement state conforming to the state change information, wherein each preset movement state corresponds to one output control instruction (102); and outputting the output control instruction to a display apparatus, so that a cursor on the display apparatus moves according to the output control instruction (103).
