Magnetic rotor shaft module and a rotor assembly incorporating the same

A rotor shaft module includes: at least two rotor modules, each rotor module having a longitudinal end including a first set of holes and a second longitudinal end including a second set of holes, the first set of holes being rotationally offset relative to the second set of holes about a longitudinal axis of the rotor module, the rotor module body further having a plurality of flats formed on a surface thereof; at least one pin disposed in the first set of first holes in at least one of the rotor modules to fit in a corresponding hole in an adjacently mounted rotor module; a magnet mounted on one or more flat in each of the at least two rotor modules; and a sleeve fitted over the magnets to retain the magnets on the flats.
