An industrial demand response enabling system according to a first aspect of the present invention is provided with a first determining device for: specifying first equipment and second equipment from among the equipment installed in a production facility, the first equipment being capable of addressing the suppression of electric power that is used by carrying out partial suspension or by suppressing performance, and the second equipment being capable of addressing the suppression of electric power that is used by changing the time at which operation is started; calculating a first suppressible amount of the electric power that the first equipment is able to suppress and a second suppressible amount of the electric power that the second equipment is able to suppress. The first determining device determines, on the basis of the first and the second suppressible amount, whether or not it is possible to suppress a suppression amount of the electric power designated by a request for suppression from an electric power provider, and, upon determining that it is possible to suppress the suppression amount of the electric power designated by the determination, the first determining device issues a command to change the operating status of the first equipment and/or the second equipment, which are necessary in order to meet the designated suppression amount. |
