AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL FOIL

Provided is an austenitic stainless steel foil that has excellent stretch forming capabilities even as an ultra-thin stainless steel foil with a sheet thickness of 60 μm or less and moreover exhibits little deformation anisotropy in the stretch forming. This austenitic stainless steel foil is characterized in that: the sheet thickness is 5 μm to 60 μm inclusive; the recrystallization rate is 90% to 100% inclusive; and the stainless steel foil has a texture in which, in the measurement field of view, the total of the area ratio of a crystal orientation with an orientation difference within 10° from the {112}<111> orientation, the area ratio of a crystal orientation with an orientation difference within 10° from the {110}<112> orientation, and the area ratio of a crystal orientation with an orientation difference within 10° from the {110}<001> orientation is no higher than 20%.
