The invention relates to an electrical load (1) of a motor vehicle, comprising a first electrical vehicle-electrical-system part (2a) for supplying the electrical load (1) with electrical energy from a first vehicle electrical system (15a) and comprising a second vehicle-electrical-system part (2b) for supplying the electrical load (1) with electrical energy from a second vehicle electrical system (15b), comprising a diode element (4), by means of which the first vehicle-electrical-system part (2a) is electrically coupled in order to transfer an activation signal from the first electrical vehicle-electrical-system part (2a) to a (second) energy supply unit (3b), which is present in the second electrical vehicle-electrical-system part (2b) and by means of which electrical energy can be drawn from the second vehicle electrical system (15b), wherein the (second) electrical energy supply unit (3b) can be switched between an active state, in which said energy supply unit provides a second supply voltage (V2) to the electrical load (1) from the (second) vehicle electrical system (15b), and an idle state, in which the provision of said second supply voltage (V2) is suspended, wherein the (second) electrical energy supply unit (3b) of the second vehicle-electrical-system part (2b) is designed in such a way that said energy supply unit switches from the idle state to the active state when the activation signal is received from the first vehicle-electrical-system part (2a). |
