The invention describes an automatic configuration system for an operator console (1) wherein one or more operators (A, B) control and monitor physical facilities, operations or physically dispersed services. The system comprises wearable personal identification devices (9) worn by the operators (A, B) and a control unit (7) for communicating with said wearable personal identification devices (9) in order to detect the presence of said one or more operators (A, B) within a defined control room area (8). The invention is especially characterized in that each personal identification device (9) includes a sensor unit (14) for monitoring operator data, and is adapted to communicate said operator data to the control unit (7), which is adapted to configure the operator console (1) based on said operator data. |
