The present technique pertains to a receiving device, a reception method, a transmitting device, and a transmission method with which it is possible to effectively utilize a frequency band and realize a high transmission rate in channel bonding. The receiving device receives a plurality of divided streams obtained by distributing the BB frames of a BB stream that is a stream of BB frames into a plurality of data slices, and when the plurality of divided streams are transmitted in non-adjacent frequency bands, reconstructs the original BB stream on the basis of reconstruction information that is included in transmission control information and used for reconstructing the original BB stream from the plurality of divided streams transmitted in non-adjacent frequency bands. The present technique can be applied, for example, to channel bonding such as PLP bundling. |
