PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can seam-fastening method capable of preventing occurrence of thin chips during seam-fastening a can-top to a can barrel as well as maintaining an excellent seam-fastening performance at a curl part to secure an excellent sealability.SOLUTION: A can seam-fastening method comprises: providing a position S at which a curl part 14 and a formation recess part 53 starts to touch each other when the curl part 14 and the formation recess part 53 starts to touch each other, and which is in the middle of an outer peripheral surface of the curl part 14; and at the same time, providing an intersection point Q1 at which a tangential line T at an end edge of outer peripheral surface tip of the curl part 14 and a virtual line I radially extended from a line part 57, on an outer side of the most outside peripheral position of the lower jaw part 52 in the radial direction of the first seam-fastening roll 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
