PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, a power source control method, and a power source control program for suppressing a power-saving mode from being unnecessarily released for a person who does not have an intention to use the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 of the present invention includes an image forming part 130, person detection part 160, light irradiation part 170, power supply part 180, and control part 190. The control part 190 sets a first detection area D1 located outside a housing B of the image forming apparatus 100 and a second detection area D2 included in the first detection area D1, when the person detection part 160 detects a person in the first detection area D1, controls the light irradiation part 170 to irradiate the first detection area D1 with light, and when the person detection part 160 detects a person in the second detection area D2, controls to start releasing an energy-saving mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
